Alert Details
Periods of rain and strong southerly winds are expected tonight and into Thursday.
Total rainfall: In excess of 25 mm possible.
Maximum wind gusts: southerly 70 to 80 km/h except higher gusts over coastal and exposed locations.
Time span: continuing until Thursday morning.
Remarks: An intense low pressure system will track west of New Brunswick tonight and Thursday morning. This system will give periods of heavy rain and strong southerly winds ending Thursday morning. The highest rainfall amounts for areas under this statement are expected from Restigouche to Kings County, with eastern New Brunswick likely receiving lower amounts.
