Alert Details

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected on Wednesday.

Hazards:
Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 mm.
Northeasterly wind gusts of 70 km/h.

Timing:
Tuesday night through to Thursday morning.

Discussion:
A strong low pressure system is expected to track over Lake Superior Wednesday. Rain is expected to begin Tuesday night near Lake Superior and spread north, reaching Pickle Lake Wednesday morning. Total rainfall amounts of 60 mm are possible, however, the exact location of this low pressure system is a bit uncertain.

Rain is expected to taper to scattered showers Thursday morning.

Rainfall warnings may be required as the system approaches and the exact details become more certain.
