Alert Details
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
What: Southeast winds near 90 km/h.
When: Late overnight to early Thursday afternoon
Where: Exposed coastal sections of North Vancouver Island and Central Coast.
Additional information:
A Pacific frontal system approaches the BC coast tonight and brings strong winds to the region. Ahead of the system, strong southeast winds near 90 km/h will develop along the exposed coastal sections of North Vancouver Island and Central Coast late overnight.
Winds will gradually ease below warning criteria early Thursday afternoon.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
