Severe thunderstorm watch continued for:
  • Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County, Ont. (046340)

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

Timing:
Mid afternoon into this evening.

Discussion:
Thunderstorms over Lower Michigan are approaching southwestern Ontario. These thunderstorms may weaken slightly as they track east and over Lake Huron this afternoon. Strong wind gusts and hail are possible should these thunderstorms maintain their strength.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
