Prolonged period of snow
Where: Watson Lake
When: Tonight
What: Total snowfall accumulations of up to 40 cm by early Wednesday morning
Remarks:
A series of Pacific frontal systems will bring prolonged periods of snow to northern BC and the southern Yukon. An additional 15 cm of snow is expected.
A ridge of high pressure is expected to bring a relatively dry period for the remainder of the work week.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
