Alert Details

Snowfall with total amounts of about 10 cm is expected.

Where: B.C. South Peace River.

When: Now until Saturday morning.

Remark: Bands of precipitation associated with a frontal system are forecast to bring around 10 cm of snow to the southern part of the southern Peace region this evening and into Saturday morning. The heaviest snowfall, which is expected to meet warning criteria, will occur from this evening to early Saturday morning.

In addition, due to gusty winds, there maybe some areas of blowing snow contributing to very poor visibilities.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
