Alert Details
Heavy snow will spread across portions of central and northern Manitoba today and early this weekend.
Snow has already begun in The Pas/Flin Flon regions and will begin to spread northeast this afternoon and into Churchill by Saturday morning. Total accumulations of 15 to 25 cm are expected before tapering off on Sunday.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
